Description

Osmanthus is native to the Guangxi region of China. The tree is not cultivated: it grows wild, of which Osmanthus Or is the main one of the 4 existing varieties. Its orange flowers are extracted to produce an absolute with the scent of old apricot/peach eau-de-vie discovered in a wooden cupboard, combining notes of dried fruit, blond wood, sun-drenched and carefully dried fruit with slightly leathery notes.
The "Marcel Proust" between noses will discover that the fragrance of the fluffy apricot is here enhanced by a sophisticated blend of three noble materials. The essential oil of Davana flower gives this fragrance a racy, slightly acidic feel, enriching it with ripe fruit and a woody, herbaceous, floral, slightly powdery, animalic and bitter flavour. The roughness of the extract of Bourgogne Blackcurrant Buds, which comes in five notes - buttery, fruity, budded, fungal and fresh balsamic - gives it a slightly incisive green structure. And finally, Iris absolute illuminates it with its penetrating fragrance of violet and fresh linen drying in the wind, with, more prosaically, something of carrot. A hint of hay, dry and powdery, close to blackcurrant may come to mind, although this is not indicated in the pyramids available; perhaps it's due to the iris.
This impression of delicacy is maintained in the fragrance's subtle, transparent, spring-like charm. This incense pays homage to a refined and little-known flower.
